Trademark statuses

How you follow your trademark: the application status, the official status at the office, notifications and the opposition deadline.

Passo dopo passo

1. Application status

   Draft → Pending payment → Processing (after payment) → Submitted (filed with the office) → Under examination → Approved / Refused → Registered.

2. Official status

   Under “Official status & metadata”: Not filed, Filed with the office, Formal examination, Substantive examination, Published, Opposition period, Opposed, Registered, Refused or Withdrawn.

3. Notifications

   When the representative files the trademark or changes the official status, you get a notification in the bell. When TMA changes the status, you get a notification and an e-mail.

4. Publication and opposition

   After publication, others have 3 months to oppose; then comes the registration.

5. The trademark's page

   Under “Applications”, open the trademark: you see the history, the official communications, the documents and the conversation with the representative.

Regole

• Filing starts only after payment; the representative has 2 calendar days from payment to file it.
• If the filing deadline passes, the representative and TMA's administrators are notified and follow it up.
